Clifton Man Dead In ATV Crash A 40-year-old Clifton man died after a Pennsylvania ATV crash, authorities said. Jason Borys was driving the ATV when it veered off the road in Penn Forest Township and crashed just before 8 p.m. Saturday, authorities said. He was pronounced dead a short time after. "Adverse" weather conditions and alcohol may have been factors in the crash, authorities said, although the cause remains under investigation. Crews Battling Elements In Search For Injured Hiker At High Tor State Park Crews are working to rescue an injured hiker on a mountain at High Tor State Park in Rockland. The New City Fire Department, along with help from Rockland County Technical Rescue Team have been battling the weather conditions since around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, New City Fire Department officials confirmed. Officials requested a helicopter for help, but thunderstorms prevented the chopper from assisting. The placement, or condition of the hiker is not known. This is a developing story. Tractor-Trailer Ban Now In Effect For I-87 Stretch Due to deteriorating weather conditions as the fourth Nor'easter of the season pelts the area, the state has issued a travel advisory and tractor-trailer ban for I-95 in both directions between Exit 17 and the New York City line until further notice. New York State Police said all tractor-trailers are restricted from entering or traveling on the following roadways: I-87 Between Exit 17 Newburgh and the NYC line. I-95, Garden State Parkway Connector, and I-287 Motorists are urged to avoid any travel unless absolutely necessary and seek alternate routes.

Passaic County Declares Code Blue Passaic County has declared Code Blue ahead of Wednesday's storm. It will go into effect at 6 p.m. March 6. In accordance with Passaic County’s Code Blue Action Plan, the impending weather will generate freezing temperatures or weather conditions that pose a danger to individuals without shelter, and Code Blue will be in effect starting at 6pm on March 6th, 2018. Nor'easter May Cause Hudson Valley Mail Disruptions, USPS Officials Some Hudson Valley residents may not have received their mail on Friday, as post carriers battle poor weather, downed trees and whipping winds in the area as the Nor’easter rages in the region. The United States Postal Service issued an alert late on Friday afternoon, cautioning that some in the Hudson Valley will not be able to receive their mail as scheduled, due to “deteriorating conditions” in the area. 
“Due to high winds and adverse weather conditions, and for the safety of our employees today, some postal customers may not receive mail on Friday,” USPS officials said in a statement. …
