Woman Hospitalized After Being Pinned Between Two Cars In Westchester
A woman was hospitalized after being pinned between two vehicles near an elementary school in Westchester. Shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 24-year-old Valley Road resident Sinying Lin was involved in a minor crash on Montrose Road in Scarsdale, near the Greenacres Elementary School, when she backed her Volvo into a Toyota that was parked next to her. Lin proceeded to get out of the car to assess the damage that was done, when the Volvo rolled toward the second car, pinning her in the middle, leaving her with undisclosed injuries. The ages and hometowns have been released of the four people critically injured when a drunk driver backing out of a parking space hit two vehicles before continuing in reverse and slamming into the front of Enzo's Restaurant in the Village of Mamaroneck. Police were notified of the incident around 7:45 p.m. Sunday, when responding officers arrived on scene and found a vehicle inside of the building/Enzo’s Restaurant. The Westchester County woman who pleaded guilty to drinking, driving and killing a 21-year-old Manhattanville College lacrosse player is due to be sentenced this week.
