A South Jersey man found cash buried while he was renovating his home, Philadelphia CBS 3 reported. "They were hiding that money from somebody for something,” Richard Gilson of Wildwood told the outlet. Gilson found about $1,000 in rolls of $10 and $20 bills, all dated from 1934, on Friday, July 8 as he was digging up an area outside his home, his wife, Suzanne, wrote on Facebook. Flames Swallow Wildwood's Windward Motel
Flames swept through a Wildwood motel causing nearly $500,000 in damages Tuesday, June 14. Squads arrived to the Ocean Avenue motel around 11:30 a.m. as the fire consumed the second floor. Firefighters cut a trench cut in the roof of the motel to help contain the blaze, which was under control in about 90 minutes. The cause was deemed accidental and no injuries were reported.
