Connecticut State Police, along with multiple police agencies, seized numerous handguns and assault rifles illegally sold as part of an investigation into gun trafficking.
According to police, officers served warrants on Tuesday, March 22, in New Haven County in Waterbury and Wolcott, and Fairfield County in Shelton.
During the searches, police seized AR-15 rifles, handguns, high-capacity magazines, and ammunition, as well as a number of narcotics and other contraband, state police said.

Two Connecticut men have been arrested by state police following a month's long investigation into a drug trafficking organization in the state.
According to the state police, a New Haven County drug trafficking organization located in Waterbury has been dismantled after the investigation by the State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force and several other agencies.
During the investigation, state police executed two search warrants on Monday, Nov. 8, ending with the arrests of Ralph Kenrick, age 55, of Wolcott, and his brother, Darryl Brown, age 61, of Waterbury.

A Connecticut hit-and-run driver man allegedly struck two people crossing a roadway, killing one, has been arrested by police.
Christopher Luna, age 29, of Waterbury, was turned himself in to police on Monday, March 29, for the incident which took place on Tuesday, March 23, in Waterbury, said Waterbury Police Sgt Robert Davis.
