Authorities ID Man Killed In Moonachie Shed Fire
Authorities have identified the 70-year-old man who was killed in a Moonachie shed fire that left his wife injured.
Ida Kaba was pronounced dead at the scene following the 4:30 p.m. blaze Thursday, April 10 at the Oak Street home, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
Fire crews from Moonachie and Wood-Ridge, along with other neighboring departments, responded to the scene. When they got there, they found a shed on fire in the backyard, and Kaba down near the entrance, Musella said.

A pair of Wood-Ridge men have been arrested for sexually assaulting a child for nearly two years, authorities said.
Francisco A. Serpas, 47, and Angel W. Serpas, 37, both sexually assaulted and endangered the juvenile multiple times from January 2021 to December 2022 in Wood-Ridge, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Authorities received a tip about the alleged assaults on Thursday, Feb. 13, Musella said.

A 37-year-old man fresh out of jail for stalking was arrested just hours later in Bergen County, police said.
