Man Killed After Disabled Car Smashed By Speeding Driver On I-395 In Alexandria: State Police
A Virginia man was killed when his disabled car was slammed by a speeding driver on I-395, state police said.
Virginia State Police said the crash happened around 2:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, in the southbound lanes of the interstate in Alexandria, near the three-mile marker.
According to investigators, a 2008 Toyota Corolla crashed and became disabled in the roadway.
Moments later, police said, a 2021 Hyundai Venue traveling southbound at a high rate of speed struck the Corolla.

A wanted woman soundly lost a game of hide-and-seek with members of the Stafford County Sheriff's Office, who didn't have to look far to find her.
On Sunday, Sept. 14, deputies were called to the Motel 6 in the 2800 block of Richmond Highway, when a tipster advised that Woodbridge resident Justina Sharp, 35, was in one of the rooms.
The caller also said that they believed "drug dealing was occurring in the room," according to the sheriff's office.

A Fredericksburg man is dead and another man is recovering after a shooting in Woodbridge, police said.
David Kapay Kallo, 35, was found shot and killed late in the afternoon on Saturday, Sept, 13, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Officers were called to the 13700 block of Telegraph Road around 7 p.m. for reports of gunshots, police said. Upon arrival, they found Kallo suffering from a gunshot wound.

A man being evaluated at a Virginia hospital allegedly broke free from his restraints and tried to take an officer’s gun, police said.
Anthony Jermaine Bowles, 33, of Woodbridge, was in custody for an evaluation at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center on Opitz Boulevard in Woodbridge around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, when he became combative and removed his restraints, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
