Road Reopens After Construction Vehicle Overturns In Yonkers
This story has been updated. A busy road in Westchester County has reopened to traffic after closing when a construction vehicle overturned in the street. On Tuesday, Nov. 3 around 9:45 a.m., Yonkers Police announced that Central Park Avenue northbound (Route 100) at Fort Hill Avenue was closed to traffic after a construction vehicle flipped over, spilling dirt on the roadway. The road has reopened as of 11 a.m., and the truck and debris have been removed, according to Yonkers city officials.

2 Police Officers Injured After Driver Crashes Into Patrol Car In Yonkers
Two Westchester police officers were injured after an alleged drunk driver pulled over for traffic violations backed into their police cruiser. The incident took place in Yonkers around 3 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 24 on Bronx River Road. According to Det. Lt. Dean Politopoulos, of the Yonkers Police, during the stop the driver backed his vehicle into the police car. The officers received minor injuries, police said. The driver, who was not identified, was arrested and charged with DUI.

Police in Westchester County are asking the public for help in locating a missing woman who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease. Sarah Rosado, age 72, of Yonkers, was last seen Thursday, Sept. 22, in Yonkers in the area of 1160 Midland Ave. Rosado is described as being 4-foot-11, and 95 pounds. Smoke Shop In Yonkers Ordered To Close Due To Violations
A smoke shop in Westchester County has been closed down due to various violations. The Stationary & Convenient Store -- in Yonkers at 998 McLean Ave. was closed on Thursday, Sept. 8. An investigation was launched by the Yonkers police, fire, and building departments after they received complaints from local residents, said Det. Lt. Dean Politopoulos, of the Yonkers Police. The investigation found the store did not have a license to sell tobacco or a certificate of occupancy. There were also fire code violations, Politopoulos said. No word if the store will reopen.
