Police Find Items Stolen From New Canaan Home In Van Of Accused Burglars DARIEN, Conn. -- Police found a large knife and proceeds from a New Canaan burglary in the van of two Norwalk men accused of trying to break into a Darien home on Thursday afternoon. At around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Darien Police were notified of an attempted burglary at a home on McCrea Lane. The homeowner said she was at home alone when she heard the doorbell ring several times and a noise coming from the first floor. Person Reported Shot In One Of Two Bridgeport Robberies BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — At least one person was shot during one of two robberies reported in Bridgeport on Friday, according to the Connecticut Post. Police received a report of shots fired in Washington Park near Kossuth Avenue at around 10:45 a.m. Friday, according to the Connecticut Post. Man Dies After Metro-North Train Knocks Him Into Water In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- A man was killed after he was hit by a Metro-North train in Fairfield early Thursday and knocked into the Mill River. The incident occurred at around 12:45 a.m. Thursday, according to a Metro-North spokesperson. Stamford Robbery Suspect Arrested On Gun Charge STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Stamford man who has already been charged with armed robbery was arrested again Wednesday after police found a .357 Magnum revolver in his home, according to the Stamford Advocate. Truck Driver Charged In Greenwich Crash That Killed Stamford Woman GREENWICH, Conn. — A New Jersey truck driver has been charged with manslaughter in connection with an accident that killed a Stamford woman in Greenwich last year, according to Greenwich Time. The accident took place on Nov. 19, 2016 when a tractor-trailer exited I-95 south at exit 3 and was driving on Arch Street when it hit a car. Police Identify Danbury Man Killed In Head-On Crash In Wilton WILTON, Conn. -- A 68-year-old Danbury man was killed after a head-on crash on Route 7 in Wilton on Wednesday night. Norwalk Man Charged With Stealing $6K Worth Of Landscaping Equipment NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk man was charge with stealing tools from a local landscaping company mere hours after the theft occurred, according to the Hour.
