Winding Lane Closes, Water Street Floods In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- A section of Water Street was flooded and a tree fell on wires on Winding Avenue in Norwalk on Thursday. Norwalk Police said on Twitter that Water Street was flooded between Hanford Place and Concord Street. Drivers should avoid the area. Winding Lane was also closed as of around 12:30 p.m. after police said trees were on a wire that was burning. Eversource was notified and fire and police officials were on the scene. Earlier in the morning, Norwalk Police reported that a tree and power line were down on Patrick Avenue, but as of 12:45 p.m. the area was open.

The Darien Y is the largest provider of special needs programs in the Darien community, with an annual participation rate of over 600 people.
