Bridgeport Pair Charged In 2014 Westport Home Burglary WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport police arrested two Bridgeport residents in connection with the burglary of a Riverfield Drive home last July in which a large amount of jewelry was taken. Edward Santos, 24, and Raisa Santos, 22, were each charged first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny. The arrests stemmed from a burglary that occurred July 7, 2014, police said. Norwalk Teen Reports He Was Robbed On East Avenue NORWALK, Conn. -- A 15-year-old Norwalk resident was robbed on East Avenue on Thursday afternoon, police said. The teen went to police headquarters with a parent and reported the incident, which took place in the area of East Avenue and Cemetery Street at around 4 p.m., police said. The teen said he was walking when an older man came up to him and demanded his wallet, police said. Bedford Middle School Team Heads To National Science Olympiad WESTPORT, Conn. – A group of Bedford Middle School students in Westport used their passion for science to propel the school’s Science Olympiad to a national competition in Nebraska next month. Darien's Holmes School Celebrates Earth Day With Eco-Art Show DARIEN, Conn. -- Students at Holmes School in Darien celebrated Earth Day on Wednesday by displaying works of art created from garbage. Putting the idea of "reduce, reuse, recycle" into action, the students used pieces of garbage to create more than 50 projects that were displayed in the art show. Police: Georgia Man Bites Doctor At Norwalk Hospital NORWALK, Conn. -- A Georgia man was arrested on charges of biting a doctor at Norwalk Hospital, police said. David Horner, 25, of Douglasville, was charged with assault of public safety or emergency medical personnel, and second-degree breach of peace. He was held on $10,000 bond and went to court Tuesday. Norwalk Man Charged Again With Running Hole-In-One Insurance Scam NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested again and charged with running a hole-in-one golf insurance scam in Washington state, authorities said. Kevin Kolenda, 57, was charged with first-degree theft, two counts of selling insurance without a license, and being a fugitive from justice. He was held on $300,000 bond. Nigerian Novelist To Discuss New Work At Housatonic Community College BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Nigerian-born author Okey Ndibe will discuss his critically acclaimed novel "Foreign Gods, Inc." on Wednesday, April 22 at Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport.
