Born and raised in North Haven, Connecticut, David was always fascinated with the concept of writing for a large publication and telling other people’s stories.

He decided to pursue that fascination after high school by attending Assumption College (now University) in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in English/Writing & Mass Communications.

David decided to continue his passion by obtaining a master’s degree in Journalism from Emerson College in 2020. Afterwards, he worked at WBZ NewsRadio in Boston as a digital and broadcast writer covering a wide array of stories.

Now, David is looking to continue his journalistic passions by giving others a platform to share their stories with a larger audience. He predominately covers Daily Voice's counties in the Greater Boston Area: Suffolk, Essex, Middlesex and Norfolk.

Tewksbury Police Find 20 Grams Of Fentanyl On Alleged Quincy Drug Dealer An alleged drug dealer from Quincy was arrested in possession of 20 grams of Fentanyl in Tewksbury, authorities said. Jorge Ramirez Andujar, age 30, was charged with trafficking more than 10 grams of Fentanyl on Monday, Aug. 8, Tewksbury Police said. He is expected to be arraigned in Lowell District Court, police added.

Third Person Found Guilty In Connection With Everett Man's 2016 Murder A third person has been found guilty of murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old from Everett in 2016, the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office said. Rigoberto Landaverde-Lemus, age 28, of Everett was found guilty of first-degree murder of Omar Wildredo Reyes on Monday, Aug. 8, the office reports. He joins Christian Nunez, who was found guilty of second-degree murder on June 15, 2018, and Jose Vasquez Ardon, who was found guilty of first-degree murder on March 26, 2019. Fallen Highway Sign Shuts Down Right Lane On I-190 South In Central Mass A large highway sign took a dive onto I-190 in Worcester Tuesday morning, Aug. 9, resulting in the closure of the right lane. The incident was reported on I-190 South just before Exit 1 by MassDOT after 8 a.m. A person driving by captured the scene showing traffic cones blocking off the ramp. Traffic was being detoured to Exit 2 as a result. The damage was cleared around 8:43 a.m., NBC Boston reports. No word on what caused the sign to crash.

Father Reportedly Stabbed To Death Protecting Son Near Everett Playground A father was reportedly stabbed to death while protecting his son during a late-night fight in Everett, WHDH reports. Police responded to a report of a stabbing near the Walter Morris Playground on Cherry Street around 10:22 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office reports. Initial investigation suggests the 45-year-old man was stabbed after getting into a fight, the office reports. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Pomeranian Abandoned In Extreme Heat In Dedham Looking For 'Furever' Home A Pomeranian who was found abandoned in record-high temperatures near the Dedham Police Department last month will soon be looking for a new home, authorities said. Recycling Truck Backs Into Pole, Cuts Power To Winthrop Neighborhood Residents in Winthrop were without power for a couple of hours after a recycling truck crashed into a utility pole, authorities said. Police responded to a single-vehicle crash in the area of Foam Street around 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, Winthrop Police and Fire said. 20 Cats Rescued From Kentucky Looking For New Homes In Massachusetts The MSCPA-Angell and Northeast Animal Shelter (NEAS) are once again opening their doors to dozens of animals in need. The organizations are trying to find homes for 20 cats who were recently displaced by deadly flooding in Kentucky, the MSPCA said. The cats, which range in age from three months to seven years, arrived at NEAS in Salem on Saturday, Aug. 6. Medford Drowning Victim Being Kept Alive After Pulled From Wright's Pond A 28-year-old man is being kept alive after he was pulled from the water at a Medford pond over the weekend, authorities said. Boston Outdoor Enthusiast, 22, Killed By Lightning While Camping In Wyoming A Massachusetts family is mourning the loss of their 22-year-old son who was struck by lightning and killed during an outdoors course in Wyoming.
