Man ID'd After Asphyxiation In Pit At Central PA Garage: Coroner A man repairing a water valve in his garage appears to have asphyxiated, the York County Coroner's Office announced on Wednesday, Nov. 1.  Kennith L. “Ken” Roach, 69, of Thomasville, was found face down in the pit where the water valve is located, according to the coroner's office. Deputy Coroner Molly York was called to a fatality reported at his home in the 1800 block of Detters Mill Road, Washington Township around 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 31. Death Investigation Launched Into Lancaster Shooting: Police A person was found shot dead in Lancaster City on Tuesday night, police announced the following morning.  City police officers were called to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of Ocean Avenue at approximately 11 p.m. on Oct. 24, according to a release by the department. Officers found the victim dead on arrival from "an apparent gunshot wound," as stated in the release.  The victim's name has not been released. Child MedEvaced From Silo In South Central Pennsylvania: Authorities A child was rescued from a grain silo in South Central Pennsylvania on Tuesday evening, authorities announced.  Crews with the New Franklin Volunteer Fire Company arrived at a reported farming accident on Newcomer Road at 5:51 p.m. on Oct. 24.  They found that child was actually lodged in the grain auger between the silo and a feed truck.
