Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Sobriety Checkpoint: 3 Charged During Overnight Detail In Port Jefferson Station Three people are facing charges after an overnight sobriety checkpoint at the start of the July 4th holiday on Long Island. Authorities conducted the operation in Port Jefferson Station at the corner of Route 112, at Hallock Avenue, from 11:40 p.m. Friday, June 30 until 2:30 a.m. Saturday, July 1.  A total of 414 vehicles went through the checkpoint, Suffolk Couty Police said. Fatal Crash: 44-Year-Old ID'd As Victim After SUV Slams Into Embankment, CT State Police Say A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash overnight in a residential neighborhood in Connecticut. It happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, July 1 in Litchfield County. A 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander was traveling northbound in North Canaan on Canaan Valley Road near Carlson Road when the SUV left the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned, according to Connecticut State Police. The operator of the Outlander, Hartford County resident Deane William Moores, age 44, of Plainville, succumbed to injuries he suffered, said police. The crash is now under investigation.
