Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Annapolis Man Stabbed Two In Bar Fight: Police A suspect in a Glen Burnie bar fight that left two people injured late last month has been arrested, authorities say. Irfan Matsimala Faruq Simms, 43, is accused of stabbing a man and woman in Clauss Liquors with an unknown object around 10:30 p.m. on May 25. He was taken into custody on Wednesday, June 8, according to Anne Arundel Police. The victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the altercation. Another Arrest Made In Murder Of Man Found Dead Behind Maryland Funeral Home A second arrest has been made in a February homicide investigation in Anne Arundel County, officials say. Devin Garrett Twigg, 18, was charged in the murder of Devin Freeman, 19, on Wednesday, June 8, according to Anne Arundel Police. Freeman was found shot dead behind the Gonce Funeral home on 4001 Ritchie Highway around 10 a.m., Feb. 27, 2022. The neighborhood grocery chain announced earlier this month they have selected a ground-level location in College Park at 4429 Calvert Road. Sources say she had been with a woman named Radisha Brown, and was last seen on May 1. Baker says her daughter became unresponsive after boarding the bus to go on the trip and has not been seen since. Man Charged With April Murder Of D.C. Grandmother The suspect behind a murder that killed a D.C. grandmother has been arrested, authorities say. Morris Jones, 37, was charged for the April killing of Tiffany Wiggins, 38, on Tuesday, June 7, according to Metropolitan Police.
