Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Annapolis Man Stabbed Two In Bar Fight: Police A suspect in a Glen Burnie bar fight that left two people injured late last month has been arrested, authorities say. Irfan Matsimala Faruq Simms, 43, is accused of stabbing a man and woman in Clauss Liquors with an unknown object around 10:30 p.m. on May 25. He was taken into custody on Wednesday, June 8, according to Anne Arundel Police. The victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the altercation. Another Arrest Made In Murder Of Man Found Dead Behind Maryland Funeral Home A second arrest has been made in a February homicide investigation in Anne Arundel County, officials say. Devin Garrett Twigg, 18, was charged in the murder of Devin Freeman, 19, on Wednesday, June 8, according to Anne Arundel Police. Freeman was found shot dead behind the Gonce Funeral home on 4001 Ritchie Highway around 10 a.m., Feb. 27, 2022. An initial suspect, Jaden Crowner, 18, was arrested and charged for Freeman's murder on March 9, 2022. Trader Joe's To Open First Prince George's Location Trader Joe's is coming to Prince George's. The neighborhood grocery chain announced earlier this month they have selected a ground-level location in College Park at 4429 Calvert Road. Trader Joe's is a national grocery store chain focused on bringing a diverse range of items at the best prices possible to neighborhood shoppers. The College Park location will be the 10th location opened in Maryland. An opening date has not yet been announced.

Massive Search Continues For Missing Brandywine Teen Police are asking for help locating a missing Brandywine teen who may be headed to North Carolina, authorities say. Breyanna Streeter, 15, was last seen in the Brandywine area on Sunday, June 5, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Brooklyn College Student Vanishes In DC A massive search has been launched for a college senior from Brooklyn who vanished during a work trip to Washington DC last month. Tijae Baker, 23, was last seen April 29 by her mom, days before she left for an art convention in DC, according to those her knew her and the NYPD. Sources say she had been with a woman named Radisha Brown, and was last seen on May 1. Baker says her daughter became unresponsive after boarding the bus to go on the trip and has not been seen since. Tijae Baker is described as 5-feet 7-inches tall, and 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Silver Alert Issued For Elderly Baltimore Woman Police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing elderly woman in Baltimore, authorities say. Mary Adkins, 86, was last seen on the 1000 block of East 33rd Street on Tuesday, June 7, Baltimore Police say. Adkins was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, black pants, and black shoes. Wrong Way Driver Kills One In Fiery Crash On Capital Beltway One person was dead after a wrong way driver crashed into them, igniting their vehicle on the Capital Beltway, reports NBC Washington. Mignon Allison Kirksey, 51, was traveling in the northbound lanes when she was killed after Donisha Alexus Leatherwood, 30, struck her vehicle while going the wrong way on the Outer Loop of I-495 near Central Avenue around 3:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, the outlet reports. Man Charged With April Murder Of D.C. Grandmother The suspect behind a murder that killed a D.C. grandmother has been arrested, authorities say. Morris Jones, 37, was charged for the April killing of Tiffany Wiggins, 38, on Tuesday, June 7, according to Metropolitan Police. Wiggins was found shot to death in a vehicle on the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue shortly after 11 a.m., Sunday, April 17.
