Demolition is underway at the Lyndhurst Diner as plans move forward to replace the longtime eatery with a QuickChek convenience store. The redevelopment of the site at the corner of Riverside and Kingsland avenues took another step forward as the Lyndhurst Planning Board was scheduled to memorialize a resolution for a proposed QuickChek at 530-540 Riverside Ave. during its June 3 meeting, as first reported by NorthJersey.com. 2 Burn Victims Flown, 5 Injured In Perth Amboy Fire: Report
Five people were injured in an early-morning fire in Perth Amboy overnight, News12 New Jersey reports. The blaze on Chauncey Street broke out at approximately 2:45 a.m., waking more than two dozen residents and neighbors, the outlet said. A former New Jersey high school graduate who pleaded guilty in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot has been hired for a position at the Pentagon, according to published reports.
