The man, whose name was not released, approached a woman walking near N. 6th Street and Freeway Drive in Newark and tried to take her daughter around 9:45 p.m., according to Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara. The man was apprehended by police as he tried to flee, O’Hara said. The incident remained under investigation. Additional details were not released.

Crews responding to a previous crash on Route 33 were called to the report of a UPS box truck into a Northampton County home on Dec. 18, the Nancy Run Fire Company said. RE1413, E1712, and Chief 17 arrived at the scene and worked to support the damaged areas of the home’s garage until a contractor arrived to stabilize the structure, the department said. Officers responding to a Shot Spotter activation on the 400 block of Garfield Avenue found the man with multiple gunshot wounds in the back of a home on Garfield Avenue around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office. The pedestrian, whose ID was not released, was struck on Case Boulevard in Flemington around 5:25 p.m. Friday, Raritan Township police said in a release. Police Seek ID For Woman Who Racked Up $5K In Credit Card Fraud Around Lehigh Valley Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a woman they say racked up $5,000 in fraudulent charges using a stolen credit card in the Lehigh Valley area. The woman, pictured above, stole the card from a Bethlehem Township resident and has been using the card at gas stations and Walmarts throughout the Lehigh Valley area since April, township police said in a Sunday release.
