The arrest stemmed from a shoplifting incident at the store that was reported to police on Oct. 12, 2015, according to officials. The incident involved $1,253 worth of clothing that was stolen by two female subjects who had left the store, police report. Five Darien High School Students Named Presidential Scholar Candidates DARIEN, Conn. -- Five Darien High School seniors have been selected as candidates for the United States Presidential Scholars Program. The students, Sarishka Desai, Christopher Drake, James Garijo-Garde, Katie Tsui and Chloe Zhou, were chosen based on a criteria of broad academic achievement and their scores on the SAT or ACT. The Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964 to recognize some of the Nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors.
