A former New Jersey high school graduate who pleaded guilty in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot has been hired for a position at the Pentagon, according to published reports. Elias Irizarry, 24, previously of Montclair, was apparently appointed to a role within the Defense Department after previously pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge stemming from the Capitol breach (click here for the complaint).
