House Fire In Washington Twp Emits Heavy Smoke: FD A residential fire in Washington Township Monday morning, June 8, sent plumes of smoke through the air. At 6 a.m., firefighters responded to a structure fire, Schooley's Mountain Fire Co. 3 said. Firefighters dealt with challenging access and a limited water supply, as they worked to extinguish the blaze, fire officials said. Numerous mutual aid companies assisted with fire suppression, ventilation and overhaul, eventually bringing the fire under control, firefighters said. There was no report of any injuries.

5-Year-Old Girl Killed In South Jersey Crash Alana Corosonaite, a Maple Shade girl affectionately known as "Peaches," was killed in a car crash last week in town. She was five years old, according to her obituary from the Jackson Funeral Home website. The crash on the 2800 block of Route 73 north remains under investigation, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said.
