Driver Busted With 44 Pounds Of Marijuana During Capital Region Traffic Stop, Police Say A routine traffic stop in the region ended with a 29-year-old man facing a felony drug charge. Troopers in Albany County stopped Olandise Warren, of Albany, at around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, as he drove I-787 in Albany. During their interaction, troopers reportedly discovered that he was carrying nearly 44 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle. Okelly Yhap, age 29, was reported missing by Albany Police on Sunday, July 9. Kenneth Curry, age 32, was last seen at around 9 p.m. Monday, July 10, in the village of Westhampton Beach, on Seafield Lane. Okelly Yhap, age 29, of Albany, had last been seen at around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, July 9, near Alexander and Clinton streets. 'Sadness, Anger' After 8 Fatal Drug Overdoses In 8 Days Reported In Capital Region City Police in the region are sounding the alarm after eight people died from drug overdoses in as many days. All eight deaths occurred in Schenectady between Saturday, July 1, and Saturday, July 8, according to police. The most recent occurred in the city’s Stockade neighborhood.
