Child Porn: Tip Lands Capital Region Man In Handcuffs On Sex Crimes Charges, Police Say A 35-year-old man from the region is facing child pornography charges following a tip to law enforcement. Albany County resident Devan Zelezniak, of Guilderland, was arrested Wednesday, June 7, following an investigation by the New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce. According to police, Zelezniak possessed images “consistent with child sexual exploitation.” His arrest came after a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. 36-Year-Old Killed, Second Driver Seriously Injured In Crash On Long Island A 36-year-old man is dead and another driver is hospitalized with serious injuries following a car crash on Long Island. Emergency crews were called at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 8, with reports of a two-car crash in Smithtown, on Middle Country Road near Highway Place. Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Capital Region A 74-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the region. The Albany County wreck happened at around 1:40 p.m. Friday, June 9, in Colonie, on Crescent Road near Fonda Road. According to Colonie Police, Alexander Ortiz, age 74, of Hannacroix in Greene County, was driving his motorcycle eastbound on Crescent Road when he crossed into the oncoming lane. He then collided with a Nissan Altima and was ejected from the bike. Police Responding To Report Of Body Found Outside Long Island Home (Developing) Police are investigating reports of a body found outside a home on Long Island. Emergency crews were called at around 3:45 p.m. Friday, June 9, to a home in North Babylon, located on Mohawk Drive near Deer Park Avenue. Tragic Update: Missing Capital Region Man Found Dead Nearly a week after a 55-year-old man from the region went missing, the search for him has ended in tragedy. Rensselaer County resident Michael Hart, of Troy, had last been seen at around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3, on Marvin Avenue in Troy, according to police.
