Man Killed In Newark Double Shooting: Prosecutor A 26-year-old man was killed in a double shooting in Newark on Wednesday afternoon, June 11, authorities said. At 4 p.m., Karon Gray sustained a gunshot wound to his abdomen at 858 South 17th St. in Newark, a spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. Gray was transported to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m., authorities said. Another man sustained a gunshot wound to his arm, authorities said.
