A Long Island driver who passed out behind the wheel in the middle of the road was arrested early Sunday, May 10 for DWI, police said.
Peter Weeks, 47, was found asleep in his vehicle in the middle of Baycrest Avenue in East Quogue around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, the Southampton Town Police Department said.
Officers had responded to a call about a running vehicle not moving in the roadway and arrived to find Weeks, a Woodmere resident, asleep in the driver’s seat, according to police.

A New York man is accused of damaging two Tesla vehicles after storming into a dealership demanding the return of a hard drive supposedly filled with cryptocurrency, Nassau County police announced on Sunday, May 10.
Travis Dubshinski, 39, of Jefferson, New York, entered the Tesla Motors showroom at 1350 Corporate Drive in Westbury around 10:15 a.m. and demanded staff return the hard drive to him, according to detectives.
Employees told Dubshinski they had never seen him before and could not help him, police said.

Cocaine, Ketamine Seized In Long Island Bust; 2 Arrested, Police Say
Two Long Island residents were arrested after detectives recovered cocaine and ketamine during a narcotics investigation at a home.
The investigation happened Friday, May 9, at 5:20 p.m. at 24 Garden Place in Merrick, where Nicholas Francis, 29, and Jaime Bunting, 27, were arrested without incident, Nassau County police said.
Detectives recovered 28.1 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine and a pink substance believed to be ketamine inside the residence, police said. The investigation also focused on multiple narcotics sales conducted on multiple dates.

A 21-year-old New York City woman was busted breaking into cars on Long Island, police said.
Charmaine Skeen, of Coney Island, was spotted inside a vehicle by a victim in Valley Stream around 1:30 a.m. Friday, May 8, the Nassau County Police Department said.
The victim’s vehicle was parked on Munro Boulevard, and she called police when she spotted Skeen inside, authorities said.
After the suspect’s description was shared with local cops, an officer found Skeen on Munro Boulevard, but she was “violent and combative while resisting arrest,” cops said.
