Firefighter Reported Injured In Residential Fire In Waterford (Developing) Crews were battling a large house fire where a firefighter was reportedly injured in the Capital Region. Firefighters in Saratoga County responded to a Waterford residence on Saratoga Avenue near Hill Street for a fire at an occupied two-story home at around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17. Arriving crews found the home fully engulfed in flames. Additional crews were being called in from neighboring agencies. Jason Melendez, 40, of Schenectady, was arrested Wednesday, April 16, in connection with a stabbing attack that left a man hospitalized outside Rotterdam’s Sliderz Bar & Grill. The incident happened early Saturday morning, April 12, outside the Guilderland Avenue watering hole, according to Rotterdam Police.
