Fatal House Fire: 84-Year-Old Woman ID'd As Victim In Capital Region Blaze Authorities have identified a woman who died in a house fire in the region. The Saratoga County incident happened in the town of Milton, at a residence on Greenwood Drive, at around 5 p.m. Saturday, July 27. Ballston Spa Fire officials said several agencies responded for a house that was on fire and possibly occupied. Once the flames were extinguished and firefighters got inside, they found the body of an 84-year-old woman. On Tuesday, July 30, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Mary Lou Cotton, of Milton. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Alert Issued For Missing Long Island Man Police are asking for help in locating a missing Long Island man. James Mangino, age 70, of East Northport, was last seen on 8th Avenue at around 3 p.m. Monday, July 29. Suffolk County Police said he suffers from dementia and may be in need of medical attention. Mangino was driving a 2018 white Toyota Camry with New York registration CVW-4099. He was wearing a gray hat with red writing and gray sweatpants.
