Convicted Murderer Found Guilty Of Threatening Cops With Knife In Capital District A convicted murderer serving a life sentence has been found guilty of threatening police with a knife during an attempted arrest in the region. Najahliek Edmunds, age 26, of Albany, was arrested in October 2018 in Columbia County by Hudson Police. Officers had been called to the Hudson Terrace Apartments on Front Street for a domestic violence incident and encountered Edmunds holding a large kitchen knife, according to the Columbia County District Attorney’s Office. Police Investigating After Man Carjacked At Knifepoint On Long Island Police are looking for a group of men accused of carjacking a man at knifepoint on Long Island. The 21-year-old victim told Nassau County Police he was parked at the Inwood Railroad Station on Doughty Boulevard Tuesday, June 21, when six men approached him just before 10 p.m. One of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded the keys to his 2015 Honda, according to police. CT Man Indicted For Trafficking Fentanyl A Connecticut man is facing years in prison for allegedly selling fentanyl. New Haven County resident Gerardo Nunez-Irizarry, age 43, of Meriden, was indicted by a federal grand jury Tuesday, June 14, according to the US Attorney’s Office in Connecticut. Prosecutors said he sold fentanyl to undercover agents between June and November 2021. One of the sales involved 50 grams of the drug, prosecutors said.
