Police ID Body Found In Connecticut River In Rocky Hill As Woman Missing Since March A 72-year-old woman reported missing in March was found dead in the Connecticut River in Rocky Hill earlier this week, authorities announced on Thursday, May 1.  Mary Colasanto was reported missing from her home in Glastonbury on Welles Street in late March.  A boater contacted police around 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 27, to report finding a body in the water. Authorities identified her on Wednesday as Colasanto.  Glastonbury police are investigating the incident. Police did not disclose the cause of death. Funeral services for Colasanto were unclear as of Thursday.

Driver Charged In Glastonbury Crash That Killed 61-Year-Old Man: Police Police have arrested the driver who they say hit and killed a man earlier this year in Glastonbury, authorities said.  Michael Taylor, 69, of Glastonbury, is charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, traveling unreasonably fast, and failure to yield to a pedestrian, authorities said.  Police said Taylor hit 61-year-old Phillip Burleson as he crossed Glastonbury Boulevard in a crosswalk on Jan. 11. More Than 20 People Displaced In Norwalk House Fire More than 20 people were displaced after a fire damaged a multi-family home in Norwalk on Tuesday, April 29.  The fire began at a three-story home at 30 Lexington Ave. just after 2:30 p.m. The fire began on the first floor, and many people on the second and upper floors did not realize the building was in flames.  Firefighters alerted them and helped evacuate the building while battling the fire.  Thankfully, there were no injuries.
