Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

25-Year-Old Killed After Being Ejected, Run Over By 2 Vehicles On Southern State In Hempstead Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash on Long Island. It happened around 12:50 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 on the Southern State Parkway just east of Exit 13 in the town of Hempstead. Khalil Jones, age 25, of East Meadow, was driving his 2003 Suzuki motorcycle on the westbound side when the vehicle left the roadway and struck the center median, according to New York State Police. Storm System Will Bring Big Change In Weather Pattern Leading Into Labor Day Weekend An approaching cold front accompanied by scattered showers and thunderstorms will usher in a big change in the weather pattern in the days leading up to Labor Day. Man Shot, Killed While Answering Knock On Front Door Of Huntington Station Home Police are investigating after a man was shot to death at his Long Island home overnight. Officers in Huntington Station responded to 21 East 12th St. at approximately 11:35 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 after Roquez Villalba-Jimenez, age 32, was shot while answering a knock at his front door, Suffolk County Police said. Fairfield County Teen Charged, Another Suspect At Large After Robbery Near Convenience Store One suspect has been apprehended and another remains at large after a robbery near a Connecticut convenience store. The robbery happened on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 27 in Milford at Speedy Mart at 109 Meadowside Rd. NY Contractor Accused Of Scamming Customers Out Of $20K A Long Island contractor has been accused of scamming customers out of more than $20,000 over the past six months, according to authorities. Steven Vitagliano, age 37, owner of Mastic-based company Line Up Fence, made verbal and written agreements to install fencing on several residential properties within the confines of the Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct over the past six months, the department said. Police Investigating Assault On Commercial Bus Traveling In Hudson Valley State Police are investigating a reported assault on a commercial bus traveling on the New York Thruway overnight. The bus was traveling southbound from Albany to New York City, with approximately 30 passengers on board when a physical altercation began between two male passengers at about 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, according to police.
