Funeral services have been announced for a young Long Island man who died following a single-car crash and his family’s fight with a local hospital.
Tony Gestone, 23, will be remembered Wednesday, May 6, at First Baptist Church of Patchogue on North Ocean Avenue, according to his obituary. Visitation is scheduled for 4 p.m., while the service will begin at 7 p.m.
Additionally, a closing prayer for Gestone will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 7 at the church before he is taken for burial.

The decades-old killing of a Hofstra football coach continues to trouble investigators, with a man whose conviction was previously vacated set for retrial on Monday, May 4.
Gary Lawrence, now 56, is again facing charges for the killing of Harry Joseph Healy outside an Arby’s restaurant near Hofstra’s Hempstead campus, Newsday reported.
Healy, 25, was shot dead in a failed robbery on Sept. 29, 1990. Lawrence and another man, Christopher Ellis, were convicted of murder in the case at a 1992 trial.

Six people were arrested for drunk driving in and around Southampton over the weekend, including one person who crashed into another vehicle, one person who fled on foot, and one who was asleep at the wheel, according to police.
Ernest Kempermann, a 63-year-old Southampton man, was involved in a minor collision with another vehicle on Noyack Road around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 3, Southampton Town Police said.
Cops later determined Kempermann was drunk at the time of the crash, and he was set for arraignment Monday, May 4 on a misdemeanor DWI charge, police said. No injuries were reported.
