A Long Island man who admitted to robbing four gas stations at gunpoint in one night and later shooting a man at a poker game has been sentenced, authorities said Wednesday, April 29.
Josue Bedell Jr., a 24-year-old Mastic man, was sentenced to 15.5 years in prison after pleading guilty in the case, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said. He'll also spend five years on probation after his release.

Marion Maupin, a 33-year-old Ridge man, was part of a two-man team that held up a Shell station in Yaphank, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said.
