Two 2-Alarm Fires In Less Than 24 Hrs In Denville: FD Firefighters were busy in Denville last week, battling two different 2-alarm fires over the course of a day, authorities announced. At 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, firefighters responded to a structure fire and immediately encountered visible smoke from the residence, the Denville Volunteer Fire Department said.  A second alarm was promptly tolled, allowing additional resources to come to the scene, firefighters said. Mantua Husband Of Cheerleading Coach Admits To Sexually Assaulting Minor: Prosecutor A 46-year-old Mantua resident pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a minor, authorities announced. Michael Brown, the husband of cheerleading coach Valerie Brown, pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a minor on Wednesday, June 17, Gloucester County Prosecutor Andrew Jones said. As part of his plea deal, he is expected to be sentenced to 10 years in prison, Johns said.
