At 7:03 p.m., Loretta White hit by a train that had departed Atlantic City Terminal at 6:54 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Philadelphia 30th Street station at 8:34 p.m., NJ Transit said. White was pronounced dead at the scene, NJ Transit said. Philly Man Broke Into Township of Hamilton Home: PD A 27-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested and charged after he broke into a home in Township of Hamilton on Tuesday, Dec. 23, authorities said. At 11:50 p.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of Underhill Court for a burglary in progress, Township of Hamilton police said. The suspect, later identified as Quaashie Gary, ran into a nearby wooded area, police said. A police K9 was deployed and began searching for Gary, who was apprehended soon after, police said. Gary was charged with burglary, criminal attempt and criminal trespassing, police said.

At 10:33 a.m., officers responded to Tuckerton Road and Lenape Trail after a man was turning east when his vehicle was hit by a Verizon truck, Medford Lakes police said. The driver of the vehicle was transported to Virtua Marlton Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. He was not identified by police. According to Jersey Central Power and Light, more than 9,146 customers are without power. Nearly 8,000 of those customers are in Ocean County, while 931 customers are without power in Sussex County. Pockets of Warren, Morris, Passaic, Hunterdon, Union and Somerset counties are also without power. Ocean Township and Lacey Township are the hardest hit municipalities with thousands of customers reporting an outage.
