An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. Yorktown Man Caused $500 Worth Of Damage To Bedroom, Police Say A 21-year-old Northern Westchester man was arrested and charged Sunday after police say he caused $500 worth of damage to a bedroom door, door frame and wall. Connor Sweeney of Yorktown was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, a Class E felony. At 3:20 a.m., Yorktown Police responded to a domestic incident that resulted from a verbal argument.  The victim locked herself in the bedroom and Sweeney damaged the bedroom door, door frame, and wall.
