New Fairfield, State Squabble Over Safety At Squantz Pond NEW FAIRFIELD — New Fairfield officials and representatives from the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection are squabbling over much-needed safety measure at Squantz Pond.The parties have exchanged five letters over the past few weeks, according to a story on NewsTimes.com.
