Archbishop Stepinac Football Star Commits To Trinity College WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Archbishop Stepinac football standout Dan Negron committed last week to continue his career at Trinity College in Connecticut. Negron, a 6-foot, 220-pound linebacker and Hartsdale resident, led the Crusaders to 33 wins over the past three seasons. Stamford Neighborhood Mourns Passing Of Well-Known Resident STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford residents mourned the passing Wednesday of Dougie White, who was a familiar sight in the area as he rode his bike nearly every day to area stores. White, 69, died of an apparent stroke, according to posts on Facebook. Runners Sprint Into New Year With Boston Buildup Opener Sunday In Norwalk FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Runners from Fairfield County and beyond hit the streets Sunday in Norwalk for the start of the 38th annual Boston Buildup Running Series. The four-race series of increasing distances is used by runners of all ages to prepare for spring marathons and other endurance events.
