Camillo Santomero, whose family owns a number of retail buildings in Danbury, said his son, also named Camillo, discovered the Purple Heart. The younger Santomero, 17 at the time, was assisting his grandfather, who purchased shelving from a pawn shop that was closing. Travis of Peekskill. Thomas was a graduate of the New York State University College at New Paltz and was a highly respected teacher of reading and math at the F.G. A funeral service was held Tuesday at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville. Burial was at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, Valhalla. Donations in her name to a cause of choice are encouraged. Smith is a redshirt sophomore at Fairfield University, and Casimir is a freshman at Iona College in New York.
