Moran was born in the Bronx on April 15, 1933, to Michael and Mary Moran. He served in the Navy on the USS Bordelon during the Korean War. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in the Bronx, retiring in 1995. Moran is survived by his daughters, Holly Dohmann (Chris) and Lucille Chittenden (Tim).
