Danbury Student's Invention Wins Award At State Competition DANBURY, Conn. – Roman Mieczakowski wanted to make beach trips with his family more enjoyable, so the 12-year-old seventh-grader at Danbury’s Hudson Country Montessori School invented something to help. His creation, which will surely come in handy this summer, even won an award in a state competition. Mieczakowski’s invention, Beach Caddy 3000, transports beach necessities such as chairs, buckets and even water. Friday Traffic Delays Abound Across All Of Fairfield County FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Rail riders in Fairfield County are not the only ones experiencing travel headaches Friday afternoon.  Interstate 95 was congested in both directions Friday, and the Merritt Parkway northbound was also log-jammed as commuters tried to make their way home.
