Fairfield's Jeff Keith Will Be Honored At Lacrosse Final Four FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield’s Jeff Keith, founder of the Connecticut Challenge, will be honored at the NCAA men’s Final Four lacrosse championship Saturday in Philadelphia. Buick, in partnership with the NCAA, selected Keith as part of its Human Highlight Campaign Reel, which honors former NCAA athletes who have had an impact on their communities through their charitable organizations. Clairol Runs Win Streak To Eight In Springdale Little League STAMFORD, Conn. – Clairol extended its winning streak to eight games with two wins over first-half champion Carpentry Unlimited in the Springdale Little League. Joey Price and Ben Servedio combined on 5 2/3 no-hit innings in a 3-2 extra-innings win over Carpentry on May 14. Chris Price drove in three runs, including a two-RBI double in the bottom of the fifth, to put Clairol ahead to stay in a 4-2 over Carpentry Unlimited on May 17. Joey Price picked up the victory. Norwalk-Based Crew Qualifies 2 Teams For Nationals NORWALK, Conn. – Teams expecting a down year for the Connecticut Boat Club were happily surprised in Sunday’s Northeast Junior Championships in Lowell, Mass. Greens Farms Academy Girls Tennis Wins New England Title WESTPORT, Conn. – The Greens Farms Academy girls tennis team roared through the New England Prep School Athletic Council Class C tournament to win the title over the weekend. The Dragons defeated Bancroft School of Worcester, Mass. In the finals. Greens Farms defeated Canberbury School of New Milford and Winsor School of Boston in the quarterfinals and semifinals. Harvey Girls Lacrosse Falls In League Title Game KATONAH, N.Y. – The Watkinson School held The Harvey School scoreless in the second half Friday and went on to win the Housatonic Valley Athletic League girls lacrosse championship, 12-4. Watkinson led 9-4 at halftime and tightened its defense further in the second half. Audrey Rowe, Leila Zuiater and Lily Brouwer scored for Harvey. Brouwer also had an assist.
