Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Upper Southampton Driver Arrested On Drug Charges A Bucks County motorist was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop, authorities said. Raynaldo R. Ortiz was pulled over for a traffic violation at about 10 a.m. on Nov. 18 near the 1000 block of Street Road, Upper Southampton Township police said. During the traffic stop, the patrol officer noticed a strong odor of burnt and fresh marijuana coming from the car, police said. Bucks County Driver Arrested On Drug Charges A Bucks County motorist was arrested on drug-related charges, authorities said. About 10:45 p.m. on Nov. 23, Stephen Paul Ellmore was stopped for a traffic violation near the intersection of Street and Stump roads, Upper Southampton Township police said.  During the traffic stop, the patrol officer noticed a plastic torch lighter which led to a probable cause search of the vehicle, police said. After further investigation, Ellmore was found to be in possession of narcotics and other drug paraphernalia, police said. He was issued summonses for the violations, they said.

Bucks County Driver Charged With DUI, Unregistered Vehicle A Bucks County motorist was arrested for DUI and driving an unregistered vehicle, authorities said. Jesse Woodring was pulled over and charged about 630 p.m. Nov. 24, Penndel Boro police said. The arresting police officer had noticed that the registration plate on Woodring's car had expired in May, police said. While speaking to Woodring, the officer could detect the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, police said. Woodring was asked to participate in field sobriety exercises, which he was unable to complete.  His charges were pending the outcome of lab tests, police said.
