Political observers blamed a so-called "Trump effect," or backlash from opponents of Republican President Donald J. Trump, as well as union opposition to statewide propositions, as factors in Astorino's defeat. Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New Castle, who narrowly fended off Astorino's first bid…

Councilwoman Nadine Hunt-Robinson, who opposed an earlier, larger FASNY proposal, said she decided to support the development Monday because of …

Too Close To Call: Polls Declare Latimer-Astorino Race 'Neck-And-Neck' Public opinion polls, including Daily Voice's, have found the race between state Sen. George Latimer and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino "too close to call" in the days leading up to Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Over the weekend, campaign lawn signs that criticize Latimer, a Democrat, for failing to pay property taxes in Rye popped up across parts of Westchester. Latimer has said the unpaid taxes stem from an unresolved estate following his mother-in-law's death, and that the family plans to pay them. Latimer leads Astorino by two percentage points 51-49 in a Daily V…

The restaurant has added extra disabled parking spots that crowd parking outside and, in general, is more sterile and less intimate inside, according to multiple customers who talked to Daily Voice.
