She has a bachelor's degree in English from Stony Brook University and a Master's degree in publishing from Pace University. She married with four teenage children and is a competitive runner and avid exerciser.

The Brookfield YMCA serves Brookfield, Bethel, Danbury and Newtown. Members and supporters of the Brookfield YMCA can march or bike along the parade route. North Avenue Bridge In Westport To Be Closed Overnight For Repair Work WESTPORT, Conn. -- The North Avenue Bridge in Westport will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Monday, May 9, to Thursday, May 12, to complete the concrete pour on the faces of the bridge. Appropriate detour signs will be in place, the town of Westport said.  Residents are encouraged to seek alternate routes and allow for additional travel time in the overnight hours, the state Department of Transportation said.  The current alternating one-way traffic pattern will resume each day at 5 a.m. The bridge carries traffic on North Avenue over the Merritt Parkway.

Royle Elementary Students In Darien Celebrate Earth Day With Performance DARIEN, Conn. -- Students at Royle Elementary School in Darien celebrated Earth Day last Friday with a performance by the fourth-graders who played instruments, sang and used colorful scarves to illustrate humans' relationship with the elements -- earth, water, air and fire. Organized by Kathleen Theisen, the school's music teacher and choral director, the performance was outside.
