'Mega Millions' Ticket Worth $1M Sold At Maryland Gas Station
Maryland's first Mega Millions millionaire of 2024 is sitting on a ticket worth a seven-figure prize, though it remains unclaimed after the Tuesday, June 4 drawing. A second-tier winning ticket was sold at a Montgomery County gas station, while two other $10,000 winners were sold in Bethesda and Ocean City. The winning numbers for Tuesday's drawing were: 19-37-40-63-69 with a Mega Ball of 17. A Gloucester man said he has big plans for the $1 million jackpot he won playing the Massachusetts State Lottery. Edward Fortado won the seven-figure payday by playing the $50 scratch-off game "Lifetime Millions." Fortado chose to take the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity. He said he would invest his winnings. Fortado bought the ticket at 7-Eleven at 48 Maplewood Ave. in Gloucester. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale.

Authorities are searching for a person who caused an explosion at a Long Island 7-Eleven and his two accomplices. It happened on Wednesday, May 29 in Elmont. Just after 11:33 p.m., Nassau County Police said that a man walked into the 7-Eleven located at 254 Elmont Road, lit a single firework, and threw it into the store’s middle aisle.
