Raymond Neuberger, 42, of Easton, was sentenced to 39 months behind bars on Wednesday, Aug. 19, by a federal judge, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut said. Angel Ramos, 53, of Ware, was sentenced to 20 to 25 years in state prison, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said on Thursday, Aug. 20. He must then serve 10 years of supervised probation and register as a sex offender. Ramos was found guilty on Aug. 3 of 28 charges following a four-day bench trial. Tractor-Trailer Erupts In Flames On I-84 In Southington, Drawing Tanker Response A tractor-trailer burst into flames on I-84, forcing firefighters to call for more water and foam as crews beat back the intense blaze.  The fire broke out around 12:55 a.m. in the eastbound lanes between Exits 32 and 33 in Southington.  Crews found the detached Amazon trailer fully engulfed in fire. The cab had pulled away, leaving the driver safe.  The fire was so intense that firefighters needed extra water and foam to contain it. South Kensington sent a tanker to help crews at the scene. Officials do not believe any dangerous chemicals were in the truck.
