The state’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) closed nearly a dozen parks on Saturday, May 2 after they were over-crowded and people were unable to practice proper social distance protocols. Kurt Dyer, 51, and Jennifer Dyer, 47, both of Bethel, were arrested on Thursday, April 16, on outstanding warrants for larceny following a complaint by the Bethel Baseball Association, a private children's baseball association, said Bethel Police Lt. George J. Man Caught Behind Business Had Realistic-Looking Metal BB Gun, Police Say A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly trespassing and having a realistic-looking metal BB gun in the console of his vehicle.  Pedro Reynoso, 50 of Bethel, was stopped by Wilton Police after being spotted behind the Bruce Bennett Service Center manipulating a pile of tires behind the building on Sunday, Feb. 9, said Lt. Man Nabbed By DNA Match To $50K Jewelry Theft, Wilton Police Say A 32-year-old man is behind bars for allegedly stealing more than $50,000 in jewelry after a DNA sample placed him at the scene. Lucio Gonzales, of Bethel, was arrested on a warrant on Wednesday, Dec. 24, by Wilton Police near his home, said the Wilton Police Department. The investigation stems back to Feb. 10, when Gonzales was working to help a resident prepare a home for sale by providing handyman services, the department said.
