The stabbing took place in Bethel on Midway Drive during the early morning hours on Saturday, Nov. 30, Bethel Police said. O'Dell, 40, was arrested on murder charges on Wednesday, Nov. 13, by Bethel Police.  The prosecutor said his brother, Richard O'Dell, 42, had been shot four times in the head at close range. During the hearing where O'Dell pleaded not guilty, attorneys said that he suffered from mental health issues. ID Released For Man Found By Mother Murdered In Bethel Home The man who was found dead inside the family home by his mother has been identified by the state's chief medical examiner's office.  The office said Richard O'Dell, 42, of Apollo Road, in Bethel, died of multiple gunshots wounds to the head. Man Charged In Stabbing Death Of Woman In Bethel A Bethel man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman to death at an area home. David MacDowell, 34, was arrested on Saturday, Aug. 24, after coming to the Bethel Police Department minutes after police had responded to a home on Plumtrees Road and discovered the woman suffering from several stab wounds, Bethel Police said. The unidentified woman was transported to Danbury Hospital where she died from her wounds, the department said. MacDowell was charged with manslaughter, pending a further investigation, police said.
