Man Used Trash Bags To Steal $100s In Seafood From Lehigh Valley Giant Stores, Police Say
Police are on the lookout for a man who stole hundreds of dollars’ worth of seafood from Giant stores throughout Lehigh Valley. The suspect, pictured above, stole hundreds in frozen seafood from Giant grocery stores in Bethlehem Township and Lehigh Valley twice in October and November 2021, and again on Thursday, Feb. 3, township police said Friday. The man stole the seafood by loading it into trash bags and fled as a passenger in a black Nissan Altima on each occasion, police said. A third-alarm fire ravaged a Lehigh Valley apartment building that was under construction, authorities said. The fire broke out at a three-story building on the 3100 block of Charlotte Avenue in Palmer Township on Monday afternoon. A car went up in flames on Route 22 Thursday afternoon, prompting a massive suppression effort from several fire departments that was captured in a shocking video clip. Police Seek ID For Woman Who Racked Up $5K In Credit Card Fraud Around Lehigh Valley
Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a woman they say racked up $5,000 in fraudulent charges using a stolen credit card in the Lehigh Valley area. The woman, pictured above, stole the card from a Bethlehem Township resident and has been using the card at gas stations and Walmarts throughout the Lehigh Valley area since April, township police said in a Sunday release. A 15-year-old boy was stabbed and thrown into oncoming traffic in a brutal attack in Northampton County over the weekend, authorities said. ‘Expect Delays:’ Route 33 Exit To Close For Emergency Bridge Repair, PennDOT Says
An exit on Route 33 north in Northampton County will close for emergency bridge repairs, PennDOT confirmed Friday. The William Penn Highway exit will close for an emergency repair at 7 p.m. and will remain closed for at least 24 hours, Bethlehem Township Police said. All northbound traffic will be diverted off the William Penn Highway exit to the traffic signal. Meanwhile, detoured traffic will continue straight and cross William Penn Highway to continue north on Route 33, police said. “Expect traffic delays at this interchange,” police said.
