A 40-year-old Willimantic man was sentenced to 50 years in prison for the 2023 murder of Joyce Grayson, a well-loved visiting nurse from Brooklyn, Connecticut, authorities said.

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in East Bangor Borough, the Northampton County Coroner’s Office announced on Sunday, Aug. 3.
Teddy Elphick, 54, of Pen Argyl was operating a motorcycle when it was involved in a single-vehicle crash on the 200 block of East Central Avenue in East Bangor on Saturday, Aug. 2, according to Northampton County Coroner Zachary R. Lysek.
Elphick, the sole occupant of the vehicle, died from multiple blunt force injuries, Lysek said. His manner of death was ruled accidental.

Scooter Rider Killed In Allentown Crash Identified As 52-Year-Old Rufus Martin: Coroner
A scooter rider who died after a crash with a car in Allentown has been identified as Rufus A. Martin, the Lehigh County Coroner announced on Thursday, July 17.
Martin, 52, of Allentown, was riding a scooter northbound on N. 8th Street just past W. Chew Street when he was hit by a vehicle around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 4, authorities said. The impact ejected Martin off the scooter, causing him to strike the vehicle and land on the roadway, according to the coroner’s report.
He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead at 8:46 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15.

A 91-year-old Jersey City man's death has been deemed a homicide, authorities announced on Tuesday, June 17.
On Monday, June 9, Jersey City police conducted a welfare check on An Quan at 2554 Kennedy Blvd., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Quan was found in medical distress and he was transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on Saturday, June 14, Suarez said.
Quan's death was caused by complications associated with blunt force injuries and ruled a homicide, Suarez said. The Hudson County Prosecutor's Homicide Unit is now investigating, Suarez said.…

Two men were recently charged with fatally beating a man to death last November in Union City, authorities said.
At 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov 14, Union City police found Reynaldo Gonzalez, 56, behind a building on 23rd Street, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office later determined the cause of death to be Complications of Blunt Force Injuries, Suarez said.
