Pregnant Mom, Infant Hospitalized In Route 208 Crash
A 28-year-old pregnant driver and an infant in the back seat were involved in a multi-vehicle evening rush-hour crash on Route 208, responders said. Their injuries didn't appear serious, witnesses said. The chain-reaction collision occurred on the southbound highway at Virginia Drive shortly after 5 p.m., with the victims' Honda sedan spinning out and hitting a garage for a local garden apartment complex. Borough police and firefighters and the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded. Some of them were diverted when a rubbernecking crash occurred on the other side of the highway.

Bergen Homeowner Finds Burglar Downstairs
A startled Woodcliff Lake homeowner was unharmed after finding a burglar downstairs, authorities said. Borough police rushed to the residence off Werimus Road -- near the entrance to the southbound Garden State Parkway -- after the homeowner called them shortly before 9:30 p.m. Monday, Lt. Chad Malloy said. The intruder apparently was wearing a mask and carrying a flashlight when he was discovered, the lieutenant said. Minivan Carrying Developmentally Disabled Occupants Hits Tree in Fair Lawn
At least two people were hospitalized after a van carrying developmentally disabled occupants slammed into a tree Friday afternoon in Fair Lawn. Two victims -- one of whom had a large cut on his forehead -- were taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood after the crash at 17th and Columbia streets around 3:30 p.m. Borough police and Fair Lawn Rescue members responded along with ambulances from Bergen New Bridge Medical Center and Paramus. Bicyclist, 68, Killed In Park Ridge Crash
A 68-year-old bicyclist died after crashing at the bottom of a steep hill in Park Ridge, authorities said. The victim wasn't wearing a helmet as he headed down Spring Valley Road when he crashed near Doxey Drive shortly before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Park Ridge Police Capt. Joseph Rampolla said. Sgt.. Fire Investigators Examine Fort Lee House Blaze
Firefighters contained a Fort Lee house blaze to a front bedroom after a passing lieutenant saw smoke. Fire Lt. Phil Craddock was driving on the Route 1&9 overpass around 4:45 p.m. Monday when he spotted the smoke coming from the two-story home at 2068 Jones Road just below.
