Boston Police are investigating after a man was shot to death overnight near an elementary school in Dorchester. Police responded to a report of a person shot in the area of 38 Westville Street around 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, police said. This is in the vicinity of UP Academy Dorchester. Upon arrival, officers found the man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The investigation is ongoing. Police have identified the 26-year-old man shot and killed last week in a Boston shooting just behind Jim Rice Field at Ramsay Park. Hanser Abraham Moreta-Gonzalez was shot on Thursday, Sept. 29, at 625 Shawmut Avenue in Roxbury just after 6 p.m., Boston police said. Boston Man Charged With Stabbing Rival During Fight: Police
A 25-year-old Boston man stabbed another man during a fight earlier this week, authorities said. Hakeem Jackson, of Charlestown, is charged with aggravated assault with intent to murder stemming from the Wednesday night attack, Boston Police said. Officials said Jackson stabbed another man just after 9 p.m. at 41 Polk Street. Responders took the injured man to a nearby hospital for treatment. Doctors said his wounds were not life-threatening. A 26-year-old man who has been on the run since police said he shot a man in Boston in 2014 was arrested in Chicago and sent back to Massachusetts to face several charges, police said. Man Wanted For Making Terroristic Bomb Threats Arrested With Loaded Gun in Boston: Police
Police arrested a 22-year-old Coventry man who was wanted on charges of making terroristic threats with a loaded handgun over the weekend, authorities said. Frederick Hines was arrested after a pat frisk near Adams and Gibson streets around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Boston police said. Officers said they knew he was wanted on a charge of making terroristic bomb threats in Leominster. Police found the 9mm pistol with a 21-round extended magazine, and they took Hines in without incident, officials said. Officials charged him with several gun offenses.
